Ariana Grande & Bette Midler Twitter Feud News: Songstresses Posts Tweets Back and Forth
The back to back posts on Twitter by singer Ariana Grande and actress Bette Midler continue as Midler previously slammed the young singer as an artist of this generation. Grande responded just recently on her Twitter praising the actress while Midler then responds in a more subtle way than in her past statements.
The 68-year-old performer in her previous interview with The Guardian released some very strong comments regarding how the younger generation performers and artists use their music to promote sex. "It's terrible! It's always surprising to see someone like Ariana Grande with that silly high voice, a very wholesome voice, slithering around on a couch looking so ridiculous," she said.
"I mean, it's silly beyond belief and I don't know who's telling her to do it. I wish they'd stop. But it's not my business. I'm not her mother. Or her manager," Midler added. The statement made headlines and several readers waited for Grande's response.
Not too long after, the 21-year-old Grande responded via Twitter stating how much of a fan she is with Midler despite the critique she received. "Bette was always a feminist who stood for women being able to do whatever the F they wanted without judgement! Not sure where that Bette went but I want that sexy mermaid back!!!" she captioned her Twitter post of Midler in a mermaid get-up. "Always a fan no matter what my love," the "Bang Bang" singer wrote.
Well, after the respectful response of Grande, Midler responded in more subtle way in her Twitter account mentioning that Grande does have talent. "About my screed on @ArianaGrande , all I can say is, 'Spoken like a reformed old [explicit]! She does have a beautiful voice, on a couch or off.',
Midler wrote.
Grande hasn't responded to Midler's latest post but news agencies speculate that the two celebrities are just starting and the tweet exchanges aren't close to being over.
