Apple WWDC 2015 Dates, News: Upcoming Developers Conference Takes Place June 8 to June 12
While Apple's Worldwide Developer's Conference (WWDC) will take place this year between June 8th and June 12th, the company is expected to announce some details about its new operating system, iOS 9, at the event.
At last year's WWDC, Apple launched iOS 8, which is what makes it very likely that the new system will be showcased at this year's event.
It is also expected that there will be more details about a new version of the Beats Music streaming service and an improved version of Apple TV announced at the conference. WWDC 2015 will be taking place at the Moscone West Centre, located in San Francisco.
There will very likely be presentations made by Apple's chief executive officer, Tim Cook, its senior vice president of worldwide marketing, Phil Schiller and the senior vice president of software engineering, Craig Federighi.
Earlier last week, a beta version of iOS 8.4 was released to users, which featured a completely new Music application, with a new MiniPlayer, and optimized Now Playing feature, and a streamlined version of iTunes Radio.
The company has released a statement saying that selfie sticks, and "similar monopods" have been banned from the conference center and the Yerba Buena Gradens.
Developers from around the world have been invited to apply for tickets to the five day event, and fans of the company can watch the talks and presentations from home on live streaming.
Schiller, senior vice president of worldwide marketing, stated "The App Store ignited an app ecosystem that is simply amazing, forever changing the lives of customers and creating millions of jobs worldwide."
