Apple iWatch Release Date Rumors: Smart Device to Start Mass Production January 2015
New reports have emerged claiming that Apple and their supply partner Quanta Computer have finally plowed through some of the roadblocks with the Apple Watch and are gearing up for its mass production come January 2015, reports Taiwan's United Daily News
On a side note, other sources were previously saying that Apple would start mass production of the Apple Watch in February next year, however, that is evidently not the case.
A report by Mac Rumors lays out some of the reasons for the upcoming jump in schedule for Apple Watch production. Apparently, Quanta increased its number of employees from 2,000 to 10,000, and when the Apple Watch production is all said and done, they'll have 20,000 employees in the effort.
With regards to Apple Watch numbers, the Cupertino-headquartered tech titan is looking to ship a total of 24 million Apple Watches in 2015.
On a side note, United Daily News also made mention of a new iPhone 6 that will apparently miss its Spring 2015 debut, as the new A9 chips have "yet to gear up."
Stepping back to the Apple Watch, the Mac Rumors report says that Apple originally wanted the device to be ready by the holiday season in 2014, however, that is clearly not happening.
The release of the device is rumored to be situated in late February of 2015, which is actually one of the company's projected launch windows.
Nevertheless, Apple fans who are waiting for the device have only a few months ago before they're ready to bring their wrists into the twenty-first century. As it stands, all of the specs and features of the device have not been set in stone, but a price range for the smart device has been projected.
Mac Rumors went ahead and stated in a post that the upcoming Apple Watch (projected for a February 2015 release) will run the consumer roughly $349.
