Apple Watch 2 Rumors, Price News: Release Date Set For September This Year?

There are a lot of rumors surrounding the Apple Watch 2, but this one will really get the fans giddy as the release date is said to be in September this year.

The first gear was launched in April last year, but it failed to impress even the most die-hard Apple defenders.

Those issues about the battery life will reportedly be addressed, especially with the report that Apple will be using LED screen this time as opposed to the OLED in the first generation device.

According to the news article from Daily Mail, the Apple Watch 2 is reportedly slimmer compared to the first gear, along with a video cam on its face.

In other news, the company will reportedly launch five variations of the Apple Watch 2 in September. To date, there's already the Apple Watch, Apple Watch Edition and Apple Watch Sport.

It's been widely rumored that the Apple Watch 2 will come with the Night Shift mode, based on the patent applied for by Apple. Speaking of patent, the company also filed documents of a dual-camera setup for a wearable device. The camera can also be moved around depending on the angle with which the user wants to take the picture.

Nevertheless, it's not clear if that technology will be feature in the second gen gear.

One thing that points to the looming release date for the Apple Watch 2 is the fact that tech company just dropped the prices of the first-gen wearable device from $349 to just $299. However, true to its nature, Apple has not released a statement confirming or denying the news reports regarding the launch.
