Apple Watch 2 Release Date, News, Rumors: Second Smartwatch To Be Independent From iPhone
It has been a year since the very first Apple Watch was launched. Although it's a trend that Apple usually comes up with an upgraded model of its products a year after it gets released, this time around, we have not received any announcement from the company regarding the upcoming Apple Watch 2.
According to Christian Times, the Apple Watch 2 will not depend to the iPhone anymore unlike the first Apple Watch. Before, the users had to download the Apple Watch App from their iPhones for them to fully use all the functions of the Apple Watch. According to the site, the users of the Apple Watch 2 can now send messages and take calls without pairing the watch to their iPhones. Also according to the site, the Apple Watch 2 will now have a cellular data feature, meaning the watch won't be dependent to Wi-Fi.
Also, according to Ecumenical News, Tim Cook said that as far as the release date of the new Apple Watch goes, there is still no definite date on that yet. The Apple CEO said that they are still learning a variety of stuff from the watch themselves which would really benefit the development of it. They are aware that they now know more about the product compare to last year. At first they were even skeptical about the watch but then it became an "overnight success" so there's no doubt that they will be more than inspired on bringing in a much more improve Apple Watch 2.
