Apple Watch 2 News & Update, Rumors: Battery Life Will Last Much, Much Longer

News and rumors on the Apple Watch 2 have escalated in recent days ahead of its anticipated launch date on Sept. 7.

According to the latest leaks, the Apple Watch 2 will reportedly feature a much more superior 335mAh li-ion battery that will drastically improve the battery life by 35%. The new battery is reportedly headed for the 42mm version, which is currently is equipped with a 246mAh battery.

However, the news and rumors are silent about the battery model for the Apple Watch 2 38mm version. Presently, the smaller wearable only sports a 205mAh battery.

Multiple reports pegged the battery life for the Apple Watch 2 at around three days for the "Power Reserve" mode. Heavy use, meanwhile, will drastically cut battery power for just 18 hours.

Apart from the improved battery life, the Apple Watch2 will also have a much faster processor, along with waterproofing capabilities, GPS, barometer and thinner but much more efficient display screen, which will also contribute to better battery power.

However, one bad news is that the Apple Watch 2 won't have no cellular capability despite the demands of consumers.

Meanwhile, Apple already sent out invites to its big event on Sept. 7 to unveil the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. During the same event, the company is also expected to announce the iOS 10 which is on the last stages of developer and public betas.

Although it's not mentioned in the products to be launched, the news and rumors are rife about the Apple Watch 2 being unveiled during the Sept. 7 event.
