You can talk about higher resolutions or improved interaction via Siri, but what about ordering pizza right from your own Apple TV? 

According to this news report, Papa John's has launched a new app for the Apple TV which allows the owner to choose a flavor, make the order and even complete the purchase through the TV set.

This kind of news is probably right up there with the Alexander Fleming's discovery of penicillin.

Papa John's making the app for Apple TV is big news considering that it beat out Pizza Hut and Domino's, the top two pizza chains in the US in terms of revenues. Domino's for its part has been very bullish in its social media campaign to try out alternative means of reaching out to their customers, and making it very convenient to buy a pizza.

According to the company's press release, people can also enjoy Apple TV discounts with every purchased meal.

"All Apple TV users will receive an exclusive platform discount of 25% off their entire order, and earn Papa Rewards points for all future orders," it said.

For orders, they can install the Papa John's app and register for an account, which details address and credit information. Then they simply tap to order.

The Papa John's app will be available to 4^th generation Apple TV owners with the launch of the iOS 10 on Sept. 7. If you already have the mobile app installed in your iPhone or iPad, it will download automatically on your Apple TV, the news report said.
