Apple iPhone 7 Release Date Leak Rumors: iPhone 6 Successors May Arrive in September
Fans of Apple Inc. products will be delighted to know that the iPhone 6 successor, dubbed as iPhone 6S (according to some, iPhone 7) may be launched in September this year. Recently, the release details related to the keenly-awaited device were leaked online.
According to IB Times, Mobile News, a UK-based technology blog, has reportedly obtained the supposed memo of UK Vodafone that was emailed to the company's staff on the subject of Apple iPhone (2015) post-launch details. According to the blog site, seemingly the email states that the pre-order of Apple's new iPhone, believed to be iPhone 6S (otherwise known as iPhone 7) will begin on Sept. 18 and the device will be released at stores the following week - on Sept. 25.
While the email reportedly does not make any mention of iPhone 6S Plus (aka iPhone 7 Plus), the website says that UK Vodafone's note on the new iPhone also includes the device's phablet version. According to the report, it is very unlikely that Apple would just dump the 5.5-inch model so soon. In fact, the Cupertino-based tech titan raked in respectable revenue in 2014 together with its more booming 4.7-inch variant.
As of now Apple has not responded to these speculations, but if the past smartphone launches of the company is any indication, it is likely that this report will turn true. This is mainly because last year, Apple unveiled iPhone 6 on Sept. 9 and released the device 10 days later. In 2013, Apple announced iPhone 5S as well as its predecessor iPhone 5 was announced in the same month in 2012.
There are speculations that the 2015 edition Apple iPhones (both 4.7-inch iPhone 6S and 5.5-inch iPhone 6S Plus) will be powered by a 64-bit class new generation Apple A9 SoC (System on Chip) backed by 2GB RAM. In addition, the devices are expected to come with 32GB/ 64GB/ 128GB inbuilt memory, force-touch technology present in the Apple Watch. As far as the camera is concerned, the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will boast an improved 12mp shooter on the rear side. The other features are yet to be found out.
Besides the standard iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, it is rumored that Apple is also planning to announce a smaller 4.0-inch handset dubbed as iPhone 6C, which will basically be an upgraded version of the now defunct iPhone 5C.
