Apple iPhone 6S Release Date News, Rumors: Apple Inc. iPhone 6S Unveiling Date Set
Rumors have abounded about the iPhone 6S, and they will all be addressed soon. The first question to be answered is the product unveiling date, and the answer to that is the 9th of September.
Apple has sent the invitation for the 10:00 am Pacific time launch to all major media outlets, which has confirmed that has been circulating about the event.
Apple is going big with this launch, choosing a much larger venue than they have previously used.
The iPhone 6S will be launched at San Francisco's Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. The auditorium can hold a maximum of 7,000 people.
Previous venues have included Apple's own auditorium at its Cupertino, California headquarters, and Cupertino's Flint Performing Arts Center.
The ceiling capacity for the Flint Center is 2,400. Apple's Yerba Buena Center only accommodates 1,470 people.
The large venue hints at bit things for the launch. It is expected that both the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus will debut, and public belief is that they will feature the Force Touch technology of the Apple Watch and the new MacBook.
Apple's two babies are also expected to feature Apple's A9 chips and improvements on the main camera, which will probably include a boost to 12 megapixels and 4k shooting capability, a forward-facing flash, 1080p resolution on the forward-facing selfie camera, and a 7000 series aluminum casing like the Apple Watches'.
Other similarities to the Apple Watch could be support for moving wallpapers.
The tantalizing invitation tagline: "Hey Siri, give us a hint" could be a reference to the new set-top Apple TV box that is also expected to debut with the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus, according to Apple Insider.
It's been rumored that the Apple TV will incorporate Siri and a redesigned touchpad controller as well as its own dedicated third-party apps App Store.
A streaming TV service has also been hinted at, however, this is still up in the air as Apple has yet to strike a deal with networks and content providers.
One more fun gadget that might join the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus is the 12 or 13 inchiPad Pro. All around, big things are expected on the 9th of September launch.
