Apple iPhone 6c Rumors: Leaked Images Showcase New Features on Upcoming Smartphone Model
It is about time that the iPhone gets an up-to-date colorful sibling in tow as an image of a 4-inch Apple plastic housing, similar to the 5c model has been leaked online, suggesting that the tech giant is working on a possible Apple iPhone 6c device.
The leaked images have pointed out physical differences on the iPhone 6c to the iPhone 5c like the oval shaped flash hole, the 2-row speaker holes on the bottom of the device and the general size of the housing which looks relatively smaller than the widescreen flagship iPhone 6.
The images were found on Futuresupplier, just a few days after confirmed sources have announced that Apple will be releasing three new iPhones in September 2015 namely the iPhone 6c, iPhone 6c Plus and the iPhone 6c.
The iPhone 6c will have an LTPS LCD display supplied by Japan Display, Sharp and LG Display which gives a faster screen experience and a crisper graphics resolution. It will be protected with top-grade Corning Gorilla Glass. The 6c will come with an A8 processor while 6s and 6s Plus will possess the newest A9 chip.
iPhone's Asian manufacturers have told Digitimes that they have added "Near Field Communication (NFC) and fingerprint scanning" to possibly boot the device's security for users.
It was in September 2013 that the iPhone 5c was released to be a "budget-friendly" version of the iPhone 5. True to being cheaper than the flagship phone, it was available in the market at the retail price of $99 for the 16 GB version and $199 for the 32 GB version. The device had an A6 processor instead of the A7 that the iPhone 5 sported. The outer shell was made out of plastic polycarbonate and the screen was standard black glass. Apple sold the device in 5 colors: blue, green, pink, yellow and white. It initially unsupported some features found on iPhone 5 until the system update was available. It had an IOS 7 pack and was recently upgraded to iOS 8.
