Fans might not have to wait until December, as Apple's iPad Air 3 is set to officially hit people's eyes in March. Also, the upcoming device might feature a 4K display.

The Apple iPad Air 3, which succeeds the iPad Air, is rumored to be revealed in the middle of March, specifically in the week of Mar. 14, as per Daily Mail UK. According to the publication, the Cupertino-based company might reveal the device, along with the new Apple Watch 2 and the 4-inch iPhone 5se in the said March event.

According to 9to5Mac, the iPad Air 3 serves as the first revamp to the iPad Air since October 2014. The tablet is set to feature a 9.7-inch screen, which is much smaller in size than Apple's most recent 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Also, the iPad Air 3 is going to have a rear-facing LED flash for users to be able to capture higher-quality images in low light.

The iPad Air 3 is also set to have a 4K resolution panel, according to Patently Apple. As per the publication, this will be integrated to the device's 4GB RAM and improved battery life. Also, GIS is reportedly assigned to work on the LCD modules and touch panels, along with backlighting products while TPK will provide touch panels.

In addition to its improved audio with its speaker grills, the iPad Air 3 is also possible to be compatible with the Apple Pencil, which was initially designed to work with the iPad Pro.
