Apple iOS 9.3.1 Problems Fixed, News Update: A Major Security Hole Discovered?

Even though there are a lot of updates made by developers, there really isn't any perfect software update. For Apple, the recent iOS 9.3.1 update is not an exception.

Last week, the tech company launched the Apple iOS 9.3.1 update. This was supposed to fix the problem with the software but it turns out that there was a major security hole discovered according to Forbes. Apple admitted that there is a problem and they are currently working on the solution of that.

According to the Washington Post, when the software update rolled out, people can access to the user's photos and contact list without getting past the security phase of the phone. It was done by using siri to pull up twitter or email. It then overrides the verification process and take the user directly to the site were it has access to the phone's photos and contacts.

Although it would be unlikely that people can get hacked from that one, a lot of security holes are found through the use of siri; bypassing the lockscreen for both PIN and fingerprint security. This is a big issue but however, it was said Tuesday by a spokeswoman from Apple that the bug was fixed there's no need to update the phone anymore.

The Youtube channel that posted the video on how to hack the previous update posted more videos showing the vulnerability of the phone before. They request Apple to invest in a bug bounty program that would pay hackers to find holes in their security.
