Apple AirPods Release Date News: Device Apparently Not Ready, Launched Postponed
The Apple AirPods release date won't happen in October this year as anticipated. The bad news is that there's no word on when it's coming out.
The TechCrunch report alleged to have talked to a spokesperson from Apple who claimed that the company needs "a little more time" to perfect the Apple AirPods before the release date.
"The early response to AirPods has been incredible," the alleged spokesperson said. "We don't believe in shipping a product before it's ready, and we need a little more time before AirPods are ready for our customers."
Apple only created the hype when it unveiled the AirPods during the launch of the iPhone 7 on Sept. 7. It was billed to be the solution to the company's vision to become wireless. Apple ditched the 3.5mm audio jack on the smart phone and instead installed a Lightning connector for charging, as well as Bluetooth headphones.
Some tech articles noted the unsightly design of the earphones. TheNextWeb called it as "extremely ugly." WIRED had some funny descriptions on the earphone such as similar to "wearing a toothbrush in your ear," or similar to an earbud "melting down the side of your face," or a tiny hair dryer.
But Apple diehards are willing to give the AirPods the benefit of the doubt. That's because there's another feature of the Apple AirPods that's unlike any other: it can also synch with the Apple Watch or the iMac as long as they are within range.
When the Apple AirPods release date will be announced, buyers can order it for a price of $159.
