Apocalyptic Action-Thriller Movie 'Left Behind' Starring Nicolas Cage Now Out On Blu-ray & DVD
The Rapture-themed movie 'Left Behind', based on the New York Times best-selling book series with the same name, was released on Entertainment One via DVD/Blu-ray on January 6.
Entertainment One (eOne) released the apocalyptic action thriller 'Left Behind' nationwide this week. The movie which stars Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage (National Treasure) as veteran pilot Ray Steel. After millions of people around the globe disappear in the Biblically prophesied rapture, Ray must fight to protect the passengers that remain on his flight. Trapped at 30,000 feet, he must find a way to safely land the damaged plane and comprehend the chaos that awaits as the most devastating event in history unfolds.
The film also stars Chad Michael Murray, Cassi Thomson, Nicky Whelan, Lea Thompson and Jordin Sparks. The film is produced by Paul Lalonde and Michael Walker and co-written by Paul Lalonde and John Patus. The director is veteran filmmaker Vic Armstrong (Thor, Amazing Spider-MN, War of The Worlds) renowned for directing action sequences.
Additional award-winning behind the scenes talent include Oscar and BAFTA nominated Director of Photography Jack N. Green (Unforgiven), Oscar, BAFTA and EMMY nominated Production Designer Stephen Altman (Chronicle), Editor Michael J. Duthie and Costume Designer Abby O'Sullivan. The music was composed by Jack Lenz (The Passion of Christ).
Recently rated "Faith Friendly for ages 12+" by the Dove Foundation, the film received a five star review and can be found on the Foundation's website (www.dove.org).
