Anthem Lights’ Alan Powell Announces Leaving The Group; Thanks Fans For Caring, Listening

Anthem Lights member Alan Powell recently announced in a vide that he is going to leave the group.

In the Anthem Lights YouTube video, Powell said that it was a sentiment to say it was time for him to stop working from Anthem Lights. He also mentioned that it was a pain to leave the band, since he became a part of the group in 2007 and it has been his life.

Powell also said that, since he has been in the band, everything was as if it had been meant for him. He also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to do something meaningful and something that fulfills him, and something that he enjoyed.

The singer also said that his bandmates, whom he called his "brothers," would sing with him. He added that they had spent immeasurable amount of time together, explaning that he had buried his soul with them together. He said that his time with them is done. and while they are no longer bandmates, their relationship will last forever.

Originating from Nashville, Tennesee, Anthem Lights is an American Christian group formed by Powell, Caleb Grimm, Chad Graham, and Joseph "Joey" Stamper. The band's debut album was released by Reunion Records on May 10, 2011, and the group has released one EP under their former name and two albums under their current name.

Some of their songs include "Can't Get Over you," "Best Thing," "Can't Shut Up," "Outta My Mind," "You Have My Heart," "This I Promise You," "Love You Like The Movies," and "Wake Me Up/Hey Brother," among others.

For Powell, that meant more to him than he could ever say. "Thank you for your time. Thank you for caring. Thank you for listening," he said.
