The end sequence of 'Ant-Man' where Scott Lang enters the Quantum Realm brought forth a lot of questions, but perhaps a handful of answers also.

In the movie, it was understood that Hank Pym's wife Janet, was lost in the Quantum Realm after what resulted in a failed mission. Due to Lang's escape from the allusive dimension, it is now inferred that there is hope that Janet could find her way out at some point to.

To help answer this question, actress Evangeline Lilly was asked by Cinema Blend on what she thought about the fate of Janet. She explains:

"Marvel hasn't told me, but I kind of, again, fabricating my own... I think that she could be and that it could be a great, I mean, I would love to see a storyline where Hope somehow, I don't know, tries to find her mom or meets her or something happens where there's some amazing reunion. I think that would be super cool, and I have my dream casting already, for my mom."

If Janet is to be found in a later sequel, this could bring forth two Wasp characters, as it was implied that Hope would be inheriting her mother's costume.

To point even further toward Janet being alive, Peyton Reed revealed a certain Easter egg that popped up in the movie when speaking with io9.

"I don't know if you caught any of the imagery as Scott is going down into the quantum realm, you might be able, on repeat viewing and definitely when you get the Blu-ray, there's something the audience can see down there that Scott doesn't see, that, may play a larger role," he says.
