After teasing the fans for a long time, Marvel Studios has finally revealed the villain in its upcoming 'Ant-Man' movie. Bada** Digest has claimed that Yellowjacket aka Daniel Cross will be the main antagonist in this Marvel superhero film. The character will be portrayed by Corey Stoll, famous for his role in 'Midnight in Paris.'

Latin Post reports that the character of Cross is actually a former protégé of the former Ant-Man - Hank Pym. In the upcoming movie, audience will see Cross taking over Pym's company and acquiring the latter's technology to produce the Yellowjacket suit.

According to the official synopsis of 'Ant-Man,' the movie will not be following the comic books too faithfully. Those familiar with the comics know that before he used the 'Ant-Man' moniker, the Yellowjacket was code named Hank Pym. Moreover, the Yellowjacket was also a woman, whose name was Rita DeMara. She took up the Yellowjacket moniker and joined supervillain groups Masters of Evil and Femizons. While the villain is killed by Iron Man in the comic books, later she was revived in 'Chaos Wars.' 

IMDB says that 'Ant-Man' narrates the tale of a crook name Scott Lang, who "must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym ... plan and pull off a heist that will save the world." In the film, Lang is "armed with a super-suit with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength."

According to Marvel Studios, Paul Rudd will portray the character of Lang and the Ant-Man, while Michael Douglas will play Hank Pym. Hayley Atwell will reprise Peggy Carter, who featured in 'Captain America: The First Avenger,' while Evangeline Lilly will play the role of Hope Van Dyne. The movie will also star Judy Greer as Maggie, and Bobby Cannavale will portray Paxton.

The other cast members include Michael Pena, who will portray Luis, and John Slattery will be seen as Howard Stark, Slattery will be replacing Dominic Cooper, who played the role in 'Captain America: The First Avenger.'

'Ant-Man' movie is directed by Peyton Reed, who is better known for his work on 'Yes Man' and 'The Break-Up,' while Adam McKay is the script writer. The film will be released by Disney in 3D on July 17, 2015.
