'Ant-Man' Trailer Release: Marvel Launches Promo for Superhero Film [VIDEO]

The 'Ant-Man' movie trailer has finally released, and in full size! Marvel has had their fun teasing us with literal puns and tiny-sized promos, but has shown us our first full length look at what we can expect to see in the upcoming movie.

The trailer aired during the premiere of ABC's 'Agent Carter', and has later released in it's glory on the Internet.

What most fans were awaiting to see, if not everyone, is Paul Rudd, the actor set to play Ant-Man, in full costume and in action. That is indeed what we received, along with a clip of him in his "shrink-mode," flying on what appeared to possibly be "The Wasp."

"Ant-Man is directed by Peyton Reed, who is also known for his films 'Bring It On', 'The Break-Up' and 'Yes Man'. Reed replaced Edgar Wright as the director for 'Ant-Man' in 2014, although Wright is still credited as an executive producer alongside Marvel legend Stan Lee," reported CNET.

Edgar Wright reportedly didn't see eye to eye with the Marvel studio, and was eventually replaced after spending years on developing the screenplay.

The trailer has revealed many of the original comic's references, hinting at the movie's choice to stay close to the original story.

"The trailer hints at Lang's time in jail and Lang's fight to help his gravely ill young daughter. Dr. Hank Pym, played by Michael Douglas, is the original creator and owner of the powerful Ant-Man costume and plays a large part in the trailer, which makes sense considering his role in the original comics," writes CNET.

In the Marvel comics there are two versions of the Ant-Man. The first is Dr. Hank Pym, Michael Douglas' character, the sole creator, and Scott Lang, Paul Rudd's character, the one who steals it.

Despite the overall positive return with the trailer, it is still up in the air if the movie will do well. In this phase of superhero collaborations and intergalactic adventures, a man with a shrinking suit holding a Marvel film on his own still leaves people a bit unsure of it's success.
