Another heart breaking Hollywood news story has made the headlines recently; apparently after 13 years of marriage, Hollywood actress Angie Harmon and NFL player Jason Sehorn called it quits just last weekend.

A representative for Sehorn released a statement about the married couple's separation, "For the sake of their children, they ask for respect and privacy as they navigate this time in their lives," said Sehorn's rep in a statement to Us Weekly.

Given the confirmed separation, news agencies speculate that the reason for the split was because of their hectic time away from each other since both had active and growing careers.

A source close to the 'Rizzoli & Isles' actress said that the split was inevitable. "A large part of it is when you spend five or six months a year away from your spouse, it gets really tough," the source told US Weekly.

"In the beginning, they really missed each other. But then they got into a groove where one person took over the main responsibilities of parenting while the other was working," the source added.

The statements regarding the possible reason for the split are still unconfirmed by any of the parties involved and since Sehorn's rep already announced that the split will remain within the bounds of the family to protect their three children, it is not likely that details about the split will be released.

According to news agencies, Hollywood, where Harmon is and North Carolina, where her husband Sehorn is usually, are definitely distant and may be one consideration for the split.

It has been reported that Sehorn usually stayed at home to watch over the kids while Harmon flies out to California for work.

It may be hard to resolve their problems, but fans remain hopeful that the two will reunite at some point considering that they have three daughters together.
