Angelina Jolie Interview News: Actress Praises Bob Geldof & Band Aid 30’s New Single, Talks Ebola Outbreak

After musician Bob Geldof had been criticized on his part with Band Aid 30's single "no peace and joy in West Africa," Hollywood actress and Humanitarian Angelina Jolie defends him and says he "had the right intention."

In her interview with Channel News 4, Jolie who just married her 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' co-star Brad Pitt praised the former Boomtown Rats star in dropping out of the single. "I think what Bob Geldof does comes from his heart and he's a wonderful, wonderful man," Jolie said.

The actress, who known to be inclined towards charity work, said about Band Aid 30, "Their intention was absolutely in the right place. We all have our ways of approaching this continent and we all have our ways of answering the call to help others and they're all different and we all do work differently, but I think in our hearts for the same reason, so that's what's important, and I have different ways."

And when asked about the Ebola outbreak, the 'Maleficent' star revealed how gravely concerned she is and apparently currently on the moves to help stop the outbreak. "Like everybody I'm gravely concerned. We have a clinic in Addis we're just opening," Jolie said.

"It's a TB Aids clinic and we've been wondering if we need to turn it into more infectious diseases. We've been speaking to a lot of people on the ground," she explained further.

The UN Ambassador apparently is very much involved in this new partaking. "There is so much more that needs to be done, but I am of course not a scientist or somebody that is physically there to know how much more we can do."

She added, "All these things are very important but what will be enough and what will be the answer and will we find a cure soon enough? I don't know."
