Andy Mineo Freestyle for Sprite's P.O.U.R. Campaign; Rapper Represents NYC for Christ as Purveyor of Urban Reality (VIDEO)
Christian rapper Andy Mineo recently contributed a freestyle to Sprite's P.O.U.R. (Purveyors of Urban Reality).
The beverage company's sports a tagline of "Celebrating and spotlighting creators, innovators, and entrepreneurs, in your community."
In the short 26 second clip, Mineo spits a couple bars that get cut off at the end of the video. A commenter on Rapzilla noted that they believe these rhymes are from his interview with 'Sway in the Morning.'
"Washington Heights Hip hop artist Andy Mineo shares his freestyle skills," the caption of the video reads.
Watch the clip below:
The 26-year-old's first full-length studio album, Heroes for Sale, was released in 2013 on Reach Records founded by very successful labelmate Lecrae. His career has since taken off.
Heroes for Sale sold an impressive 28,000 copies and his latest EP, Never Land landed at #2 on the Billboard charts.
Mineo first came to Christ during a experience he had at a Christian summer camp when he was in the eighth grade, but upon going to high school with no Christian support, he strayed from the faith until his freshman year in college. Now he uses his gifts to offer the message of Christ to the hip-hop audience.
