Android Wear 2.0 Release News: Any Changes In Second Developer Preview?

With the recent news about the developer preview for Android Wear 2.0 being out, people have been looking forward to see the changes.

This blog post from Google outlined several of the changes in Android Wear 2.0 that fans can expect.

Apparently, Google added some more support for "wearable drawer peeking," allowing easy access to them when users scroll. In the same vein, there's also the auto peek view as well as the navigation drawer closure.

"For developers that want to make custom wearable drawers, we've added peek_view and drawer_content attributes to WearableDrawerView," it said. "And finally, navigation drawer contents can now be updated by calling notifyDataSetChanged."

As to the wrist gestures for Android Wear 2.0, Google shared the news about the system being opened to third-party developers so they can develop their own apps.

In the same blog post, Google also promised more news about releasing another developer preview in the "next few months" based on the feedback on the second developer release.

Android Police, meanwhile, pointed out that ordinary users will find some other changes in the watch face as well.

In addition, users can also change the background using live photos, as well as the user interface that will allow them to use their own music album art on the watch face complication. You can also opt for a rotary dial by changing the settings in the UI.

The report also noted about the Android Wear 2.0 running more smoothly and quicker compared to the first developer preview, so that's good news for most users.
