Android Wear 2.0 Latest News: Update Scraps One Cute Feature
Remember that cute app where you stay attach to a friend or loved one? Well, the new update for the Android Wear 2.0 has scrapped most of the features of "Together," according to the latest news.
This was confirmed by Google, as published by PC Mag, which said that when the Android Wear version 1.5.0.308 rolls along, the users will no longer get to access the watch face.
However, a statement from the search engine giant clarified that that "Together" app wasn't scrapped altogether. It's just that most of the significant features will be incorporated into the platform. That just means that the user can connect to even more people through the messaging app.
"In addition to emoji, you'll be able to use Smart Reply, keyboard, or handwriting on the watch screen," reads Google's announcement," it said. "You'll also be able to customize a number of different watch faces with useful data from your favorite apps."
The Together app will be scrapped by Sept. 30, according to the Google announcement.
But Android Police said that it doesn't necessarily mean that the Android Wear update will be released at that time. After all, Google said that there would be four updates before the final version is launched. At this point, it's still on the second update.
In other news, Fossil announced that the pre-order for the Q Wander and the Q Marshal will already be available on Aug. 29. The watch is compatible with both the Android Wear 2.0 and the iOS.
Jill Elliott said in a press statement that the two smart watches will combine both function and form in a beautiful package.
"Fossil is known for its quality timepieces and we're proud of the seamless expansion to our wearables collection," she said.
