Android Nougat Galaxy S7, S7 Edge Release Date: Update To Roll Out In Early 2017?

The Android Nougat Galaxy S7 update is currently in its beta testing as confirmed by Samsung a few days ago. And by the time it's finished, users will get the full 7.1.1 version.

Unfortunately, the South Korean company has not given any timeline for the full rollout of the Android Nougat Galaxy S7 but considering that it's being tested right now, the release won't be far behind: probably early next year.

Samsung is a little late to the party. The major update was launched in August this year to Nexus devices. This was followed by the LG V20 in September and then the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL phones in October.

But then again the Android Nougat Galaxy S7 update delay is understandable considering the breadth of phone lineup that Samsung has. Also, the South Korean company is not the only manufacturer that's quite late in rolling out the latest update.

For instance, Blackberry, HTC, OnePlus, Sony, Motorola and Huawei are among the companies that are either rolling out or testing the Nougat for their phones.

Meanwhile, AndroidCentral said that with the Android Nougat Galaxy S7 update, some users might not recognize their phones because of the many changes.

The article said that the UI for the smart phone has been tweaked from the accent color and the toggles, they now get different fonts, bright whites and the light blue colors. Those who own the Note 7 may recognize the "Grace UX" app icons in the Android Nougat Galaxy S7 update. There are also a new set of emojis as well as changes in the way apps are launched.
