Android Nougat 7.0 Update News: Latest OS Set For September Release, Runs On The Nexus 9, MIUI 9
Along with the new details on the release date of the Android Nougat 7.0, it is revealed that the new operating system (OS) is set to land on two devices, the Nexus 9 and the MIUI 9.
Android Nougat is set to be released in the late part of September, Tech Advisor has learned. As per the publication, the new OS is bound to be pre-installed on the Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 devices this year. In addition, users can access and download the OS to previous versions of Nexus mobile devices while the new batch of Android devices are set to run it by the end of the year or in the early part of 2017.
In other news, Android Nougat is set to run on the HTC Nexus 9 and modified iterations of the operating system are set to be the update for the MIUI.
According to Rogers, as cited by GSM Arena, Android Nougat is listed for HTC's Nexus 9. As per the publication, the new update is set to replace the device's current OS, the 6.0.1. While there are no details about the system's expected availability, the update is set to be joined by security updates.
As per the report, the dates of Android Nougat's availability are ensured to be accurate and things beyond their control may be subject to change.
Meanwhile, MIUI's future system versions are believed to be based on he Android Nougat. According to Android Headlines, Xiaomi's flagship, the MIUI 8 OS is currently based on Android Marshmallow; thus, it is assumed that added efforts are being put towards the development of the firm's mobile device product line.
Overall, Android Nougat 7.0 is assumed to be released in September.
