Android N Release Date News, Update: Latest OS Arrives In Q4 2016; Adds New Features
The Android N is coming to town and it is set to be available in Moto G4 Plus, along with three other android devices. Also, speculations reveal that the operating system is VR compatible and it is set for a fourth quarter release.
Motorola has confirmed that its Moto G4 Plus is bound to have Android N, Tech Radar has learned. As per the publication, the company also had an advert, saying that it will also get Android O.
On May 18, Taiwan-based tech giant HTC tweeted that Android N is bound to reach three HTC phone models. The company wrote "Life is about to get a little sweeter. Android N will be coming to the HTC 10, HTC One A9, and the HTC One M9. Thus, Moto G4 Plus is set to join the aforementioned devices that will get the upcoming Android OS.
It is known that Android N is Google's succeeding phone and tablet operating system update and its developer preview can be downloaded for testers to check and explore its new features that were not included in the Android 6.0 Marshmallow launch in November, along with the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P.
Along with HTC and Motorola, the Android N may also reach an HTC built Nexus device, according to Christian Times. Also, it is expected that the upcoming operating system offers various color options and features more user-friendly options and tabs, allowing smartphone users to do their tasks faster and more efficiently.
The Android N is also revealed to be compatible with a tool called Android VR. In line with VR features, it is also believed that a menu for VR helper services and a buried release note for Android VR in Unreal Engine 4.12 beta suggests a major path for a Google Cardboard descendant.
Android N, which might be called Android 7, follows previous Android operating systems like Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), 4.1 (Jelly Bean), and 4.2 (Kitkat). The operating system is assumed to be out in the last quarter of 2016.
