Android N News, Features: Navigation Buttons To Undergo Makeover?

The latest news regarding the Android N alleged that the navigation buttons will reportedly undergo a makeover.

According to GSM Arena, the signature shapes of circle, triangle and square will still be retained, but the design will be different. Although there's no confirmation yet on this bit of information, the report was quick to preface that the source came from somebody who has "been reliable in the past."

"The Home button animates when long-pressed to invoke Google Now On Tap," it said. "Apparently the various colors expand in their corresponding directions until they all 'file out horizontally.'"

Of course, without any clip or photos that show the changes in the navigation buttons for Android N, it's quite impossible to picture out what the article means.

Meanwhile, Android Police confirmed this bit of news regarding the navigation buttons makeover for the Android N. Although, there's no official report from Google regarding this, the website nevertheless is quite optimistic about the report.

"We rate this rumor a 7 out of 10 confidence level," it said.

Doubts remain, however, since the design could still change prior to the beta stage, or Google may just change its mind at the last minute.

In related news, another change that will be seen in Android N is the notification, which may look similar to each of the apps. This could be a problem for some users if they typically get numerous notificaitons at once.

For those who are only getting the instant messaging, hangouts or Google Now, this new change won't be a problem.
