Android 6.0 Marshmallow Device Rollout Rumors: Mobile OS to Launch on Samsung Galaxy Devices?

New reports are claiming that the latest Google Android update, Android 6.0 Marshmallow may launch on on Samsung Galaxy devices sometime soon. While these rumors have not yet been confirmed, many tech aficionados are lying in wait.

For those that may not know, the latest mobile OS update is reportedly bigger in size than previous updates. This means that users can expect to see some big changes to their Android devices, more-so than they're used to.

According to the rumors offered up by SamMobile, there's a good chance Samsung Galaxy devices will receive the update sometime soon because they still run the old Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system.

Previously it was announced that Google's latest OS is going to first come out on Nexus devices. The initial reports on this matter slated the rollout sometime in October.

However, certain reports speculate that Nexus devices would not be the only ones to receive the update at first. Some tech media outlets are of the view that many latest flagship devices will also be getting Android 6.0 M.

PC Advisor, claimed that a rollout on non-Nexus devices would happen sometime in early 2016, but did not specify which devices would be the first ones to get it.

According to sources, if a user has a known brand device like a Samsung, Sony, or HTC one, they're more likely going to get the update first. What's worse is that some of the lesser known brands might not receive Android 6.0 M at all.

The good news for Samsung Galaxy users is that the company is certainly not a lower end tech developer, so users stand a chance to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow before many other smartphone users.

All in all, while there is no definitive answer to the Android 6.0 rollout on Samsung devices, techies can only hope and wait for an announcement on the matter.
