Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Update on Samsung Mobile Phones; Features New 'Install Overnight' Option
Maybe it's taking too long for Samsung to incorporate the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to its phone. It has been a while and while other brand's leading smartphones already have the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update on them, Samsung is only beginning to have them on one of their current phones.
Gotta be mobile provided a lot of updates about the recent news on Samsung's Marshmallow update. According to them, Samsung Galaxy s6 and s6 Edge will start to get the update. The file will be large though since according to the site, it would be over 1GB in size. For all of those who have almost no space left for the update, I advice you to make some for it as early as now because it may finally arrive anytime soon.
The update will bring on a new look at the devices' interface. If you look closely, some of the applications might also have a different look after getting the update.
The update also brought in a new 'Install overnight' option that will install an update at night between 2 to 5 AM. Those are the time when most phones are inactive and it might have been based on some research. For messaging, there will be new emojis. There will also be additional quick settings which toggles for Private Mode in the status bar.
For sure, the Marshmallow update will already be installed on the new Samsung Galaxy s7 and s7 Edge. However, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge would not support Android 6.0's Adoptable Storage feature.
