Android 5.1 Lollipop Update on Moto G News: Leaked Image Shows Moto G 2014 Using Google's Latest OS

A leaked online report disclosing a Moto G 2014 running with the Android 5.1 Lollipop has given rise to the belief that Google seems to be all set to expand its latest mobile operating system across the global market.

Christian Today reports that the said leaked image was posted on Tech Droider and was supposedly sent by a follower of the tech website via email. Dated Feb. 2, the photo displays a handset having a build number LXY22E.

Neither Google nor Motorola have not spent a word regarding the authenticity of the leaked image, but most people do not find it surprising to see the latest Android OS running a Motorola device, as Google already persuaded the tech firm to launch the first Android 5.0 update in 2014 itself.

Interestingly, the date on which the leaked photo was posted actually coincides with earlier reports by the IB Times that predicted that the Android 5.1 Lollipop would be released in February 2015. According to reports, the upcoming OS update will come with a superior RAM capacity, in addition to an improved battery management. The Android 5.1 Lollipop is also expected to address other key Android issues such as problems related to the Wi-Fi connectivity and sudden opened apps crashing suddenly.

Apart from these, the upcoming Android 5.1 Lollipop update will come with an all new material design providing more colorful, user-friendly bold user interface (UI) coupled with an improved notification system. In other words, the user will receive their latest notifications in the locked screen, while the inward notifications will be exhibited in a format similar to a banner and can be seen at the top of the screen.

STGS Gadgets, meanwhile, reported that Motorola is considering releasing the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop update to their other product lines like the Moto E and the Moto X.
