Android 5.0 Lollipop Roll Out News: Updates for Sony Xperia Z3, Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, & Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet
The wait is over as a continuous roll-out of Android 5.0 Lollipop will happen within the day for Sony XPERIA Z3, Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, and Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. In the meantime, Z2 users can sit back and expect their system update to happen next week.
In the previous weeks, Sony's roll-out for the update had happened in northern Europe, most especially in the Baltic and Nordic areas. They were the first to enjoy the well-improved system. Now, users from the US can experience the improved interface that Lollipop offers to Android smartphones.
The recent system upgrade from Android brings Sony Xperia Z3's a fresh new look with Google's new GUI together with Sony's ergonomic and simplistic feel. The Lollipop update boasts fluidity in animation with a better interactive experience. Lollipop has also beefed up the security system and notification alerts. Besides that, Sony has also tweaked areas that are personal but may also add to Lollipop like the enhanced quick settings.
In addition to this update, Sony has advised the public through their blog to "stay tuned". This comes after it has been confirmed that they are rolling out the update to XperiaT2 Ultra and Xperia C3.
With the update being rolled out in phases, some devices under the telecommunications network Verizon may have to wait patiently for the update. This concerns the Xperia 3V and Xperia Z2 Tablet delayed firmware update, according to Ecumenical News.
Google has targeted to roll-out the system update for ASUS this April and has told people to "stay tuned for more information" for Nvidia's Shield and Tegra Note 7.
Android first rolled out 5.0 Lollipop to their flagship phones, Nexus. Now, the models Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and Nexus 6 are enjoying the newest software build Android 5.1 Lollipop (LMY471).
