Trusted Reviews says that while the QHD display packing LG G3 is available to buy through a number of networks, as well on a SIM-free basis, the G3 Andorid 5.0 L update is only available to Vodafone customers at present.

At the moment, there is no official word about the release of the OS on the LG G3 by means other network carriers.

For those that may not know, the Lollipop OS update is the latest comprehensive version of Google's Android operating system. Many of the features that users have grown accustomed to in the previous versions of Android have been touched upon.

Despite the fact that the upgrade is only available with a specific carrier, this is the first time that the upgrade breaches Google's Nexus set of devices.

In an interview with Trusted Reviews, Shaun Musgrave, LG's Product Marketing Manager gave some insight as to why LG was selected to receive the upgrade before other tech companies.

He said, "We will definitely be one of the first vendors to introduce Lollipop to our flagship device," adding, "Because we have a good relationship with Google - and bearing in mind we have two previous devices with them - naturally we would get the ASOP a little earlier than most."

Users of other devices that are awaiting the new Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, can only wait to hear word about when it will be launched in their region, on their devices.
