Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update LG G3: G3 Users Still Receive No Update Yet

When the LG G3 was launched, it was running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, even though Google has already released Android 4.4.3 KitKat and Android 4.4.4 KitKat a month prior to the G3 launch. Nearly four months after the LG smart phone has been released, G3 users are still stuck on the Android 4.4.2 KitKat platform on their smartphones, despite the fact that Google is now getting close to releasing its latest Android 4.5 or Android 5 L.

On a positive note, a new roster of updates set to hit the T-Mobile devices has recently been released. Among those listed on the roster to receive updates is the LG G3, but the upgrade seem to be entirely related to the handheld's phone functions such as T-Mobile's WiFi calling features - which allows its users to access free calls and texts via WiFi anywhere in the US.

No sign indicates, however, that the update will finally allow G3 users to upgrade to either Android 4.4.3 KitKat or Android 4.4.4 KitKat, despite the fact that the update is only 150MB large.

Perhaps the most plausible explanation for the extremely delayed Android updates for the LG G3 users is a traumatic experience the manufacturer once had during the era of the G3's predecessor, G2. The Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the LG G2 caused massive complication for the smart phones, and its manufacturer wasn't able to resolve the issues until months later.

LG is likely trying to avoid getting stuck in the same predicament this time around, hence, the delay for the G3 Android updates.
