Amy Purdy Wedding News: 'Dancing With The Stars' Alum Amy Purdy Marries Long-time Beau

Amy Purdy tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend Daniel Gale on last Saturday following an engagement of three months, People reported. The Dancing with the Stars alum wed her 35-her-old athlete fiancé at The Barn in Boise, Idaho in front of 160 witnesses, according to the website.

To celebrate the event, Purdy shared an intimate Instagram photo of the lace train on her stunning wedding gown alongside a pair of men's shoes, captioned:

"My dad and I! Something special is about to go down. Can't wait to see my love@dang_ale!"

The adventurous couple have been together for over 10 years, and have experienced life to the fullest together, even participating in The Amazing Race in 2012. Upon their early elimination, Purdy shared with The Hollywood Reporter about why they are not yet married:

"We met in 2002 so we've been together 10 or 11 years, and we have such an exciting adventurous life. A lot of times people ask why we aren't married yet, but we've allowed each other to grow and find out who we are. When it's time to settle, we will decide to do that," she stated.

Earlier this year, Gale finally asked for Purdy's hand in marriage at the Flamenco Beach in Puerto Rico. Purdy Tweeted the news to the world alongside a picture of the couple sunbathing together:

"Just said "yes" to this amazing man!"

Gale shared the same picture and wrote a sweet caption about how proud he was to be engaged to the love of his life.

Just before the bohemian-vibed wedding, Purdy shared with E! that it would be an intimate affair:

"It will be really intimate and special but we really invited our mutual friends ... That's what was most important. We wanted to make sure the people that are there are the people that supported us through this whole journey."

She also shared with People about the proposal:

"We felt it was just finally time to come together and make a commitment to each other."

Purdy has been hailed a hero by many amputees as she is a double amputee who lost both her legs to meningitis when she was a teenager.

Never one to be brought down, she won a bronze medal in snowboard cross at the 2014 Winter Paralympics, adding the esteemed award to her other amazing achievements throughout the years.

The couple seem to work well together on a professional level too; in 2005, they founded an organization together called Adaptive Action Sports, which Gale executive directs.

Now into its 10th year, the organization assists those with physical disabilities achieve their goals in action sports.
