'America’s Got Talent' Season 10 Cast News: Howard Stern's Return as Panel Judge

On Monday, Sirius XM radio host, Howard Stern announced that he will be returning to 'America's Got Talent' for the show's 10th season. The show first debuted in 2006 and airs on NBC, it was created by Simon Cowell and was originally a British reality competition show.

For those that may not know, Stern first joined the cast as a judge in 2011.

Stern is one of the highest paid reality show judges getting at least $15 million per season of 'America's Got Talent'. He said Monday, on his radio show "I decided that a life without 'America's Got Talent' is not worth living." This is when he made his final decision to go back and judge the show. He also said on his radio show that there was some "soul-searching" involved in the decision to return.

'America's Got Talent' is a reality, competition show where contestants show their many extraordinary talents to a panel of judges. These judges initially select who will stay at who will go in the first few rounds. Once they have a finalist panel, the judges leave in the hands of America to vote on their favorites. The grand prize winner will receive a prize of $1 million.

Season 10 of 'America's Got Talent' will air in the summer of 2015. The rest of the judges on the panel have yet to be selected, but the calls for auditions have already begun for contestants.
