'America's Got Talent' News: Howard Stern Set to Leave the Show

Howard Stern, who has been a judge on America's Got Talent since 2012, said on his radio show on June 24th, that this season will be his last.
The talent competition is currently in the middle of its tenth season on NBC. Stern, who is 61 years old, previously relocated the show from Los Angeles to New York City so that he could continue his iconic radio show while playing his role as a judge on the show.

"I'm going through my own career evaluation right now," said Stern on his Sirius radio show. "In all seriousness, I've told you, I'm just too...busy...something's got to give...NBC' already asked me what my intentions are for next year, whether or not I'd come back, I kind of have told them I think this is my last season. Not I think, this is my last season."

However, it seems like Stern will not be leaving the television industry for good.

He states that he has received another television opportunity that he does not want to turn down.

"I have been made and offer in television that excites me," said the radio personality. "Excites me to no end. I think it would be a great opportunity, but I can't do America's Got Talent, the radio show, and this television opportunity."

So of course, the next question is, who will be replacing him? Apparently, there are already some people being considered.

Stern stated that Simon Cowell wants his spot, and that he would be a good fit.
