'American Idol' Season 15 Spoilers: Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson Perform In Finale Showdown; Judge Paula Abdul Appears
In line with the upcoming finale of "American Idol" season 15, it has been revealed that Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson are set to perform while former judge Paula Abdul is set to appear.
Underwood and Clarkson are set to rock the stage at the "American Idol" 2016 season finale, Billboard reported. As per the publication, the event is going to have the theme "American Idol: American Dream" and it will take place in three nights.
Along with Underwood and Clarkson, the season finale of "American Idol" 2016 is also going to feature other iconic artists, which include Fantasia Barrino, David Cook, Kris Allen, Lee DeWyze, Scotty McCreery, Caleb Johnson, Ace Young, Blake Lewis, Chris Daughtry, Jessica Sanchez, LaToya London, and Pia Toscano, among others.
The show is also set to feature host Ryan Searcest, as well as present and past judges, including the original trio judges - Randy Jackson, Simon Cowell, and Paula Abdul. In fact, Abdul shared her thoughts on what fans could expect from them in the upcoming season finale of the singing show.
In her interview with Entertainment Weekly, Abdul said that she knew that fans were trying to figure out what the three of them would do, adding that she was certain that they would do something that would be trouble-making.
Abdul also revealed the reason why she left "American Idol" after eight years. In the same interview, the judge said that it had been time for her to leave, adding that she had never had the same job for eight years. She mentioned that there had been changes happening and it had not felt like the same show.
For Abdul, it had been a "bold decision" to make, but she would always have tremendous gratitude, as it had been a "tremendous experience" for her.
The final showdown for "American Idol" 2016 is set to happen on Apr. 6 while the final episode airs on Apr. 7 on FOX.
