American Idol Season 14 Judges, Rumors: Lopez, Urban, And Connick To Return On 2014 Panel

Fox's reality singing competition has found a rising star each year for the past 13 years. 2014 will be no different as Fox Network has confirmed all three judges, Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. to return for Season 14.

Additionally, the long time host of the show, Ryan Seacrest, will also return and maintain his iconic spotlight.

"Jennifer, Keith, Harry, and Ryan are the very best in the business at what they do, and I'm thrilled that they are returning to American Idol for another season," said David Hill, senior executive vice president of 21st Century Fox, "each brings unique qualities and expertise to the team, but they all share the same passion for helping undiscovered singers achieve the American dream."

Lopez sits as the veteran on the panel with her fourth time in the seat, Urban will reprise the position for the third time, and jazz singer Connick will sign up for his second season with the show.

Season 14 of "American Idol" will begin with its usual audition process this time in New Orleans which is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Fox Network early next year, 2015.

During the height of the show's popularity, the viewership reached 30 million at its peak. Last season, the show reached its lowest point, by pulling in only 10.6 million viewers. For this reason, Fox Network has decided to scale back the hours allotted to the show, from 50 hours to 37 hours.

Since the show's premiere in 2002, fans and applicants have been excited to see who will become the next American Idol.
