According to TV Line, she had been oblivious to Harry Connick Jr.'s "shady" remark about her sticking to the melody. The publication added that her "Xtina-inspired runs," had been on-point, though more than enough.

Kory Wheeler sang "Bennie and the Jets," which was viewed as a tribute to Haly Reinhart's moment in "American Idol" season 10. He received a Golden Ticket in 2015 and reports say that his performance had a soul.

Joshua Wicker, a handsome worship leader, sang Rihanna's ballad "Stay," as if he had composed the song himself. He reportedly could go "deep" into the competition, if he proves his power to sing in tune on the life stage. In addition, his ability to twist a female vocal song into his rendition could let him follow "American Idol's" David Cook, as per NJ News.

Following the "American Idol" 2016 premiere, it is assumed that the succeeding episodes of the singing competition is going to be tougher and filled with the judges' comments, fans' votes, and the hopefuls' dazzling performances.
