'American Idol' 2013: What's Next for Angie Miller? 'American Idol' Summer Tour, "You Set Me Free" Studio Version / Rock Band? [VIDEO]
Angie Miller was shockingly eliminated from last week's American Idol 2013 Top 3 results episode. Miller didn't see it coming and neither did remaining contestants Candice Glover and Kree Harrison. Angie has been, what seemed like a clear-cut favorite for weeks now. Apparently America didn't get the memo.
So what's next for Angie Miller? Well, for starters, she earned a spot on the American Idols Live summer tour. But what about after the tour? What will be the next chapter in Angie's solo career? The Beverly, Massachusetts native might decide to follow in her brother's edgier ways.
"My brother's in a hardcore band," says Miller in a post Idol interview. "I think that's why I like an edge to things. I also like the sound of a real band."
Still deciding where to move [right now it comes down to Nashville or L.A.] Angie definitely wants to keep pursuing her music career.
"I want to be wherever is best for my music career. I want to get signed and have an album. I just want to be wherever is best for that, to make my music and get it out as fast as possible."
If Angie decides to move to Music City, maybe she could collaborate with Season 11 finalist, Colton Dixon, whose original song "Never Gone", Miller covered earlier in Idol 2013.
Angie Miller showed her own songwriting chops earlier in American Idol 2013 singing her original composition, "You Set Me Free". It was arguably one of the best performances for Miller.
"That song and that moment will carry me on and I can't wait to record it."
Wish you all the luck Angie!
Tune in Wednesday night for the American Idol 2013 Season 12 finale at 8/7c on FOX.
