'American Horror Story' Season 6 News, Spoilers: Sixth Season Includes Children, Features Anti-Christ Plot

The next season of "American Horror Story" will include children. The news was confirmed by showrunner Ryan Murphy, who also hinted at the possible appearance of the devil.

In an interview with E! Online, Murphy said, "If you look at horror tropes, the innocence of children, that sort of wide-eyed entryway into some world is always very dramatic and satisfying."

His statement spawned speculations from fans, the most popular of which being the possible locations where the children will be featured in the series. Some speculate that the setting could be a summer camp, a boarding school or an orphanage.

Rumors about the appearance of the devil in season 6 stem from a mysterious logo teaser for the upcoming season, which shows the number "6" in red ink followed by a question mark at the bottom. Some reports say that season 6 will feature an anti-Christ plot, particularly the origin of the anti-Christ.

Meanwhile, "American Horror Story" season 6 will be shorter than the previous seasons. "Hotel" and "Murder," two of the past episodes of the series, included only 12 episodes and were previously the shortest. However, Spoiler TV recently reported that the upcoming season will include only 10 episodes, making it the shortest in the history of the series.

Despite its fewer episodes, season 6 will premiere before Thanksgiving, which means that viewers can watch the episodes of the series smoothly without breaks.

"American Horror Story" season 6 premieres on September 13, 10 p.m. on FX.
