‘American Horror Story’ Season 5 Spoilers: Premiere Episode Released, Many New Faces in New Series
While some weeks still remain for the premiere of 'American Horror Story' Season 5, FX has already released the synopsis of the premiere episode of the highly anticipated 'Hotel' installment titled 'Checking In.'
IB Times suggests that viewers may require a security blanket and a night light while watching the upcoming episodes of the horror drama television series.
The opening episode the upcoming season, 'Checking In,' will introduce new characters and a different plotline like in the previous seasons. Nevertheless, some fan-favorite actors will be returning - only in different roles.
'Checking In' has been written by co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk and will open with the introduction of John Lowe (Wes Bentley) a "family man" as well as detective" in Los Angeles. The synopsis of the premiere episode says that a "chain of gruesome murders" leads the detective to the "enigmatic" Hotel Cortez. In this hotel, the detective will meet its occupants ... who are just as perplexing and strange as the building itself.
Earlier reports said singer Lady Gaga will star as Countess Elizabeth, a socialite and owner of Hotel Cortez. However, Elizabeth has a dark secret; she has an "ancient blood virus" that makes her crave for human blood. Incidentally, Elizabeth is not the only person in Hotel Cortez who has a hunger for blood. Hotel Cortez resident Donovan (Matt Bomer) and male model Tristan (Finn Wittrock) also share the same "ancient blood virus."
The other characters in 'American Horror Story: Hotel' include Iris (Kathy Bates), who is the building manager and mother of Donovan. Iris is an opponent of Hypodermic Sally (Sarah Paulson), a drug addict and permanent resident in the hotel. In addition, viewers will also meet Liz Taylor (Denis O'Hare), a cross-dressing employee at the hotel's bar - The Blue Parrot Lounge.
'American Horror Story: Hotel' premieres on FX on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 10:00 p.m. EDT.
