'American Horror Story' Season 5 Spoilers: Kathy Bates Hints at Role in Next Series

Fans are eager to hear any news about the show "American Horror Story," and according to a response from Kathy Bates, she might be returning to the miniseries.

A fan of the show asked the 66-year-old-actress via Twitter if she would be appearing on the next season of the show. If a playful response Bates said, "Time will tell! Stay tuned AHS fans." Since her tweet, more fans are excited to see what this response will bring.

According to Game N Guide, this response could mean that Bates really doesn't know if she'll be going back to AHS or she is hinting that she could return. Usually, when stars are this playful in a response, it means there is good news to follow.

According to International Business Times, Season 3 is when Bates first appeared on the show as real-life serial killer Delphine La Laurie from the 1800s. In Season 4 she came back to play a bearded woman named Ethel Darling who performed in a Florida freak show.

In an interview with E! Online, Bates said, "I love getting these fantastic characters to play, and [co-creator Ryan Murphy's] told me that he wants me to come back next year and it's getting hard to refuse, let me tell you! Everything's grown so much even since last year. It's amazing. I can't believe it."

Bates is most known for her role as Annie Wilkes in the 1990 horror film Misery. She won both an Academy Award a Golden Globe for her performance.

Season 5 of "American Horror Story" will air on FX in October of this year.
