‘American Horror Story’ Season 5 News: New Clip Features Elvis Presley’s ‘Heartbreak Hotel’ [VIDEO]

Two new teaser trailers released by 'American Horror Story' for its upcoming season titled 'Hotel' offer vital clues regarding what is in store for the fans in the new season. Interestingly, the clues are not something to be seen, but heard in the video clips.

IB Times reports that the videos were released by Entertainment Weekly on Friday - the first, titled 'Do Not Disturb,' and the second titled 'Beauty Rest.' While 'Don Not Disturb' features a man without face and a fast audio at the end teasing 'Heartbreak Hotel,' 'Beauty Rest' reveals someone being strangled by a metallic claw-like hand. Fans listening to the words of the video carefully can hear the words to a chilling song: "Since my baby left me/ I found a new place to dwell/ Heartbreak Hotel."

Elvis Presley's fans can recognize that the lyrics are from his 1956 single "Heartbreak Hotel." However, what many are ignorant about is that there is a depressing story behind the song. In fact, the tune was penned by Tommy Durden and Mae Boren Axton for Presley's first single with his new label, RCA Victor. It is said that Durden and Axton were inspired to write the song after they read a newspaper article regarding a man who killed himself by jumping from a hotel window. Having destroyed all forms of identification, the man left behind a note with five words that read: "I walk a lonely road."

Durden and Mae created an unforgettable song, adding a "heartbreak hotel" to the story.

The most recent promo videos show country singer Heidi Feek's cover of "Heartbreak Hotel." This has led many fans to wonder if the lyrics of the song reveal clues about the 'American Horror Story' Season 5 plot.

Fans of 'American Horror Story' are already aware that a love triangle will play out among the characters portrayed by Lady Gaga, Finn Wittrock and Matt Bomer. May be one of these men will find himself with a broken heart. It is also possible that heartbreak and gloom are the factors that draw the guests to the Los Angeles hotel.

'American Horror Story: Hotel' will premiere on FX Wednesday, Oct. 7.
