Here is some good news for fans of both 'American Horror Story' as well as Lady Gaga. According to latest reports, the Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter has just signed up to feature in the upcoming installment of the horror television series on FX.

Christian Today reports that 'Mother Monster' (Lady Gaga) recently posted a video on her Twitter account that shows the singer wearing a creepy sequined black mask. Referring to Ryan Murphy's hit television series, Lady Gaga is heard announcing "American Horror Story Season 5 Hotel" in the video.

While the singer did not reveal any details regarding her possible role in the horror television series, viewers can be rest assured that the upcoming season of 'American Horror Story' will be additionally frightening with Lady Gaga in it.

Lady Gaga does not have too many acting roles to boast, but she can certainly act and act well. Over the years, the singer has done a few acting roles, including her small support role in 2013 movie 'Machete Kills' and 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For,' which was released only last year.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly way back in 2010, Lady Gaga spoke candidly about her highest respect for Murphy and Brad Falchuk, the series creators of the 'American Horror Story,' who are also behind the success of the comedy-musical TV show 'Glee.'

She had told the entertainment news website, "I love 'Glee.' I love the cast and the creativity of the writers. I went to a musical theater school and used to dream that some day the students would be singing my songs."

Lady Gaga will now have an opportunity to work with creative people like Murphy and Brad Falchuk. 'American Horror Story' Season 5 is scheduled to premiere in October.
