'American Horror Story: Hotel' Spoilers: Ryan Murphy Talks about Lady Gaga's Role
Fans of the American Horror Story franchise are getting to learn more and more about American Horror Story: Hotel little by little. On that note, the show will air on FX sometime in October.
However, the details and elements that have to do with Lady Gaga's character are being kept tightly under wraps.
However, recently, series creator, Ryan Murphy, has been sharing some details about Gaga's role including whether we will hear her singing on the show.
"People keep saying to me, 'What numbers are they singing, what numbers are they singing?'" said Murphy in an interview with Deadline. "There will be no numbers... the interesting thing is we cast a lot of singers this season, but I like that singers - for the most part - [tend to be] great actors, because they know how to sell a story through a song."
According to Murphy, the absence of Gaga's singing will neither be here nor there when fans get to see her acting prowess.
"I'm excited about it; it's not something that she's ever done before. It's a pure acting part," added Murphy.
Murphy also revealed a few tidbits about the show itself. He stated that this season will be much more focused on horror, and will be "a little bloodier and grislier."
He says that it is more so than any other thing that they have done before.
Sadly, fans of Jessica Lange, who has played a lead role on every season of the show up to this point, will not be on the show this season.
However, Murphy has said that she hopes to eventually return to the series. Hotel will be more of an ensemble season without Lange.
