'American Horror Story: Freak Show' Season 4 Spoilers, Recap: Ethel's Haunted Past Returns

'American Horror Story: Freak Show' premiered on October 8, with an episode entitled "Monsters Among Us," that is set in Jupiter, Florida circa 1952. The episode may make fans wonder who the real monsters are - the freaks or the ones who misunderstand or misjudge them.

Sarah Paulson's conjoined twins Bette & Dot Tattler are certainly the biggest attraction of the season with their contrasting personalities forced to live with each other and share same body. The conflict over joining Fraulein Elsa's Cabinet of Curiosities, murdering their protective mother, and Dot's affection over Lobster boy Jimmy is entertaining, but one of her best moments is when Dot and Bette slit the throat of the cop who comes to arrest them.

The episode was a nightmare for coulrophobic (fear of clowns) viewers as it introduced a new murdering clown Twisty who makes Balloon Animals for kids during his breaks, as he locks them in his old bus.

Episode 2 is slated to air on Oct. 15 and is titled, "Massacres and Matinees."

Spoilers reveal that while the Freak Show will be threatened by the curfew, somebody from Ethel's troubled past is returning to haunt him again. In addition, Elsa's relationship with tattler twins will get a new twist.

It's pretty evident that overall hopes are high for another rocking episode from 'American Horror Story: Freak Show'.
