'American Crime Story' New Cast News: Evan Handler & Cheryl Ladd Tapped for 'The People v. O.J. Simpson' Series
The upcoming crime series that will surely be mind boggling just added new big-named celebrities to be added to the already star-studded cast members of FX's new mini series titled 'American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson'. Just recently, it has been revealed that actors Evan Handler and Cheryl Ladd will be part of the growing cast members.
As if John Travoltra, Selma Blair and Cuba Gooding Jr. aren't enough to make the audiences tune in to the upcoming series as the show casted two more stars in the upcoming series including Handler and Ladd.
Ladd, who is famous for being the original Charlie's Angels, will be playing the wife of O.J. Simpson's defense attorney Robert Shapiro as the show focuses on the famous case from the perspectives of lawyers.
Meanwhile Handler, famous for his role on 'Sex and the City' as Charlotte's husband, will now be playing a major role of attorney Alan Dershowitz still from the team of Simpson. It has been announced that the show will be featuring the "chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and maneuvering on both sides of the court, and how a combination of prosecution overconfidence, defense shrewdness, and the LAPD's history with the city's African-American community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt."
Indeed it will be quite an exciting series to look forward to. The series was based on Jeffrey Toobin's book titled 'The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson' and will star some of the brightest stars including the two already mentioned.
Blair from 'Legally Blonde' was revealed to be playing the famous 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star Kris Jenner and wife of Simpson's lead defense attorney, Robert Kardashian Sr.
The late Kardashian will be played by actor David Schwimmer who is famous for 'Friends'. Travolta will be playing Robert Shapiro, Gooding will be O.J. Simpson, Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark, Courtney B. Vance as Johnnie Cochran Connie Britton as Faye Resnick and Jordana Brewster as Denise Brown.
