Amazon Prime Day 2016 News: This Year Touted Going To Have Biggest Deals In History?

Daily deals will be offered starting July 5 in the run-up to the Amazon Prime Day 2016 set on July 12, according to the latest news. Meanwhile, the event is billed to be the biggest in the company's history.

During Amazon Prime Day 2016, over 100,000 deals will be offered on the online retail website in many different categories in 10 different countries.

According to news reports, not everyone can take part of the Amazon Prime Day 2016 offerings, but those who can benefit from this offer are limited to Amazon Prime subscribers. Those who haven't subscribed to the program yet can pay $10.99 each month or a yearly rate of $99 to participate.

That cost, however, will give the subscribers access to the company's Netflix-counterpart, Amazon Video, as well as Amazon Music. They also get two-day free shipping on select items from the online retailer's inventory.

Digital Spy advise subscribers to spend the whole day during the daily deals in order to get the best bargains. The initial deals will start when the clock hits midnight. A new deal is being offered every five minutes until the clock signals the end of the day.

Last year's event saw Amazon recording sales at 398 items per second or about 24,000 products each minute. Amazon Prime Day 2016 is shaping up to surpass that record, at least based on the news reports circulating around.

For now, Amazon is offering a free 30-day trial which will give consumers about a month to decide whether or not they will continue the subscription. They can opt out anytime at no cost.
