Amazon Liquor Delivery Service Launches In Seattle, Manhattan
Wide range of consumer products can be bought from Amazon, ranging from books to electronic products. There are tangible and intangible products that can be purchased from the website. Its recent offer of beer delivery service is another first for the company. However, this is only limited within the Manhattan area. The unique thing about it is the one-hour delivery guarantee, which is unlike other products sold in the website that could take days or weeks before being delivered.
Amazon has announced this week its Amazon Prime service. This comes with an app that can be downloaded from the website. Customers can order various types of liquors within the Manhattan area and expect delivery in an hour. Beer, wine and spirits of various brands can be ordered using the app.
The one-hour delivery cost is $7.99 but the two-hour delivery service is free. This service is available to Amazon Prime members who are paying S99 per annum to have access to the two-day delivery service of any of the millions of products sold in the website.
Amazon's Prime Now is still limited in a two areas in the U.S., namely, Seattle and Manhattan. The one-hour alcohol delivery service may soon become available in other areas that legally allow such service. In one interview with Prime Now chief Stephenie Landry, it was mentioned that Amazon is planning to offer the one-hour alcohol delivery service in at least twenty cities in the United States. The main hindrance is the regulatory limitations in the respective target cities.
